      As a hospice volunteer the love I had for my first patient inspired me to document her life story. Knowing what it’s like to lose your mother at a young age, I felt the need to help her two young, adult daughters through that grief. I gathered as much family information as I could before my patient left for her heavenly journey. I then hand wrote 365-days’ worth of 3x5 cards for both daughters filled with their family information, beautiful quotes, inspiration, and wisdom, and presented them at their mother’s funeral. Their grandmother later informed me I changed their lives. She stated the girls got up each morning and called one another to read their cards. God later shone His light on me and informed me my new mission was to make a difference in the lives of others by doing the same thing for them. That, my friends, is how D2I was born. Our goal is to leave lasting imprints on the hearts of each recipient of these beautiful cards at a time when it is most needed.
